Bruce Braithwaite NHS Consultant Vascular Surgeon at the Queens Medical Centre, and University Teaching Hospital in Nottingham. Currently Vascular Advisor to East Midlands on behalf of the Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland. Qualified from Cambridge University in 1988. Awarded degree of Master of Surgery in 1996. Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Intercollegiate diploma from the English, Scottish and Irish Colleges of Surgery. Also trained in London, Oxford, Gloucester, Bournemouth and Nottingham. Awarded Visiting Scholarships to the University of California in Los Angeles and the Straub Clinic in Honolulu to perform research on vascular disease. Teaches and trains surgeons and nurses in new techniques for treatment of varicose veins and spider veins. Published and continues to research new methods for treating venous disease.
