Gareth Bate RGN Nurse for 21 years working in Trauma, Orthopaedics, theatres and Vascular theatre. In 1995 Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Vascular Surgery, Heartlands Hospital, Birmingham. In 2001 Research Nurse for Professor Andrew Bradbury, University of Birmingham. Also clinical position at Heartlands establishing and running nurse led clinics for patients with vascular conditions. Became interested in sclerotherapy when participating in the Varisolve® clinical trial for Provensis Ltd in 2002. In 2003, alongside Andrew Bradbury, established the present sclerotherapy program at Heartlands Hospital and BUPA Parkway Hospital in Solihull. Trained Vascular Ultrasonographer.
