BAS 2024 Conference

Posted 9th October 2023 by Hilary Furber

The British Association of Sclerotherapists (BAS) 2024 conference will take place on 21st May 2024 at Dorney Lake near Windsor.  Aimed at practitioners of microsclerotherapy and foam sclerotherapy the event will attract phlebologists, vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists and aesthetic practitioners and dermatologists as well as specialist nurses.

A varied programme of speakers interspersed with live demonstrations of varicose vein and thread vein treatments has proved a popular format, and delegates will also have the opportunity to network with peers and industry exhibitors and to update their BLS certification. Details of promotional and early bird discounts will be available on the BAS website as soon as they are released. BAS CPD certificates are recognised by GMC, GDC & NMC for appraisal and revalidation.

BAS President and Board Lead for CPD Events Philip Coleridge Smith says, “There are very few avenues available for UK practitioners to refine their sclerotherapy skills, share best practice and discover how to improve patient outcomes, and the BAS annual conference has become the go-to event.”

Many people suffer from unsightly thread or varicose veins on their legs and, with virtually no treatment available on the NHS, more and more are turning to vascular specialists and aesthetic practitioners to improve the appearance of their veins. The British Association of Sclerotherapists is a not-for-profit professional membership organisation formed in 2002 with the aim of raising and maintaining standards of responsible evidence-based practice.

Registration will open 1st March. Click here to email and provisionally reserve your place.
